Unbelievable.. Time Flies and I have almost abandoned this blog.

Have been very busy in this year and things have changed a lot.

Especially to my life.

Now, I am no longer staying in NTU. We have shifted out from the campus and move to a flat in Jurong West.
Our flat is big, simple design and bright. I enjoy very much staying here even am alone.

Yes. I am alone now. Yu has gone to HK for a better position in his career and I am staying back to process for Australia Migration. I am happy that Yu has agreed to move to Australia with me. He has made sure everything is settled down before he left for Hong Kong.

I feel very grateful that he has satisfied so much for me. ='' )

On the other hand, I would say, it's my last step for the migration. I've passed my IELTS exams and now it's time to gather all the documentations. I plan to submit before my coming birthday!

Life is tough but I strongly believe that if we plan our works well, our plans will come true. One word, determination!

I hope to see Yu again in Oct.. even though we see each other every night on video call, but I still miss him very much.. We always have good time together. Lots of fun and happy!

I can smell the frangance of fruits around the campus..

If we look carefully, there are lots of fruits trees around. Along the path way from my house to the junction, there are 2 mango trees and one starfruit tree.

Here's a good pick for today. I wonder if they are ready to eat.. but I feel happy to pick the fruits.

As you know, I have been experiencing busy city life since young.

It's rare for me to see fresh fruits. I love the nature.

I hope in future, I can plant some fruits trees and vegetables at my backyard of my dream home. :-)

My hubby and I were wandering around Jurong Point (a shopping mall nearby our place) yesterday afternoon.

As usual, the mall is busy and crowded. Many boothes located at the main lobby and normally we don't really care.

Suddenly a guy approached me: " Hello, do you want to sign up and try on our plan??"

I was shocked and tried to figure out what's that? I looked around the booth banners - A big fat lady photo.. Oh!! a slimming programme?

We burst laughed.. hahaahaha!!

I answered: " If I sign up, I guess I will disappear! "

Somehow I think I am a successful example for slimming programme! Here you go:

Time flies.. It's already May!!

Everyday I am counting down the days to live alone again. It's scary but things have to keep going in order to achieve what I want. I believe this is a test of my life and hopefully things work out.

Till now, I have done IELTS (still pending for the results), husband PR is ready.

It's almost the time to kick start everything. I have to be strong to go thru this period.

Despite lots of plannings in my life, I do enjoy my life a lot with my husband and family. I will be go home for a break soon and then, France! Yoo Hoo!!! Unexpected!

After that, mum will come over to Singapore to visit me....

My life is always so busy which full of events, plannings.

I am lucky because people around me give me support as always which made me move on...

I was down

I have been squeezing activities in these weeks.. and finally I was down last week.

It was started with a sorethroat and as usual would continue with fever and cold. I was on 2 days MC last week and had very bad cough started from 2 to 3 days ago.

I am exhausted due to the sleepless coughing nights. I shifted to sleep in the living room which is warmer and tried not to wake up the light sleeper - my husband.

And now, I am feeling better though still having a slight sorethroat..

Without any break, we went for HDB viewing yesterday. There was one unit really impressed us. It's nicely, professionally renovated, and looks like a spa center. It gives me the zen feeling when entering the house. The valuation is 420K and it's asking more than 40K cash, which made up the selling price at least 460K. Actually, we are ok with the price as the house is really impressive. I love the bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.
However, we do not meet the basic requirement yet. sigh.... we are still waiting for my husband PR approval... :(

What to do? Time is running out... I left less than 20 weeks to be with my husband... :(

Am I strong enough to stay out alone again? I guess, I have forgotten the life to be alone..

ermmmmm...

Life goes on.. I believe by planning and go through it step by step, my dream will come true..

Staying back is to make a change...there is still a hope..

Just afraid that I will give up everything, pack my luggage and go to Hong Kong one day.

Since F4 era, I do not have any feeling at all. I felt that almost everyone was crazy about Jerry, Zai Zai..

They are nothing special but just another boy group..

And now... Just because of this new taiwan drama "jiu xiang lai zhe ni" with Ella, I feel that he is really cool and handsome!

My goodness!

We do not have the habit to follow drama. However, this comedy is too funny and makes us standby for the show on everyday saturday night! ;-)

2010 Chinese New Year was just over 2 weeks ago. For me, it was as busy and joyful as previous years.

Meeting relatives and some old good friends, many activities and gathering. how time flies! 15 days of Chinese New Year is over!

It has been non-stop working after coming back from Italy.

Besides working, life is fully occupied - Searching for houses, researching on migration, reading english books, wedding dinners (almost every week), going home..

Tomorrow, I will be flying off to Hong Kong for Chinese New Year celebration.

Currently, I do not have any new year mood. Just finished packing but can't feel any excitement. Anyway, I bet I will get the feeling very soon.

Again, will heading to the busy Hong Kong. Time to meet the in-laws and of course, it's time to enjoy good food and cold weather!

After the trip, it will be my party time in Kuala Lumpur! Hope to see my relatives and friends.

Speeding, No. 1 Road Killer

I have been going in fast speed at the expressway for 1.5 years.

My highest limit can reach about 130km/h. Along the way, getting familiar with the car, more confident and as usual impatient has made me speeding....

Unfortunately, on last thursday, at KJE expressway, I caught by traffic police....

So, I have to deduct 6 merits point and SGD150 fine. =(

I am not very happy cause i worried there will be more letter from the police if there is a new camera set up at the expressway.

As I have been speeding on Tuesday and Wednesday. I hope I didn't exceed much of the limit.

Let's keep the finger cross. The punishment will be more if I repeat the offence.

I promise myself, I will drive within the limit. Trying to be calm, which I always wanted to... I am always impatient when doing anything...

Today I drove at 90km/h to the office, and i felt a little bit sleepy... ZZZzzzzz

To avoidmy licence being stopped, I have to really obey the rules in Singapore..

Went to Chloe's 1st Birthday on last sunday. Happy seeing the babies (my nieces and nephew).

I love to hug them.. they are just adorable!

In fact, I have 17 years of nanny experience... from "theng theng" to "en"... and now I almost treat en as my own son.. we love each other a lot! I hope he can be obedient and be a good guy in future.

Feb: Enjoyed my Chinese New Year with family and friends :)
Feb - May: Had been revising Humanities and Social Science, Physics, Organic Chemistry and Biology
May: Took GAMSAT (Graduate Australian Medical School Admission Test). - passed but not flying colors
April - Aug: Had been learning Italian during leisure & learn roller blading.
Aug: Met Australian Migration Agency to enquire of the PR application requirement.
Aug - Oct: Had been learning English (IELTS), viewing condominiums around Singapore.
Oct - Dec: Training in Catania, Learning product and test engineering.
Meeting good people and enjoy delicious italian food.
Travelling around Sicily, to Venice, Switzerland (Zurich, Interlaken and Luzern) & London. Finally, I have fulfilled my promise to meet Ngiam in London. ;)
Learn cycling (taught by mum and husband)

I would say, 2009 is full of learning. Learning a lot of new things. Probably, life in singapore is a bit bored for me. Without taking initiatives to learn new things, I guess, it's hard to fill up my time. Of course, Travelling is part of my yearly plan too.

Last year trips: {Hong Kong, Shen Zhen, KL} (as usual), Penang, Sicilia, Venice, Switzerland and London.

2010:

I foresee it would be a tough year for me. There will be some changes in my life. I believe with plannings and discussion, we will definitely can get thru it.

New things to learn: English (seriously for IELTS) and Italian (casually)
Applying PR for my husband
Looking for house
Improving my skills in works
Spend more time with family

I see, I listen & I learn

The 7-week of stay in Europe has enlightened me a lot.

I am able to experience in Sicily. Understand the culture, lifestyle and people.

Sicily people are somehow much friendly and warm. I didn't feel that I was a stranger there. People like to share their feeling and thoughts which I normally do. They are sincere. It made me easily and quickly adapt to the environment without much worries. =)

Well, some basic italian does help a lot in daily activities which makes things easier. Really happy to have the chance to use my italian and I see that it has improved drastically. I will maintain and continue to learn.

Beside that, I noticed that Sicilian likes the sea very much. People appreciate the nature, and feel contented with what they have. Indeed, the weather and food in sicily are richer than the north of Europe.

I am happy to see that people are not that materialistic like in most of the metropolitan. I feel comfortable to share the thoughts with them. I always believe, that's the way of living. We do not need luxuries stuffs but still feeling happy truly. This is what I have to share with the people around me.

I do miss the people (especially my colleagues), food and weather there. I wonder, when I can I go there again. Anyway, I am lucky to have this experience in my life.

There was one statement from a colleague: " I am happy that we stay so far away but our hearts are very near (same thinking)!". When I heard that, I felt that is true...

Let's change the view to London....

London has been my dream destination since 9 years ago.... and this trip, I finally made my effort to go there, partly is to visit my good old friend, ngiam..

Well, after seeing Italy and Switzerland, I feel that London is not that beautiful.. Now I agree with Ngiam, Yes, Italy is more classic. Anyway, I do like the musuems in London, they are too big and many information. It's too bad that I only stay there for very short time, if not, it's worth to stay longer in the musuem.

Also, I am happy that Ngiam brought me for a play. It's a must-do in London. What we watched is 'The Lion King', it's professional and entertaining. To me, though it's kinda ex, but worth it I would say again. :)

London is a huge city with many people coming from different places. There are a lot of Indians and Chinese too. What's remind me when i was in Lescester Square is that I felt like I have been to Hong Kong. The place is busy and full of lights.... Also, in Oxford street, the shopping area is really big.. so far, I guess, it's the biggest I have ever seen.

Thanks to Ngiam & Emily for their 3 precious days spending the time with me.

Lastly, here you go something about Switzerland. This is the most advanced, organised, & systematic country in Europe. Beautiful mountain and lakes. Of course, I love the snow very much.

My last snow experience of snow was in switzerland as well. And this time I experienced my first time for snow falling. I still remember the feeling when I saw snow falling at the window when I opened my eyes from sleep. It was just wonderful. I always wonder when will be my chance to see the snow again... miss it so much.

I am lucky to have an offer to stay in Markus's house. That was the best stay during my trip in Europe.. I remember, I stayed in a whole red hotel in venice, a tiny and dirty room in London, and an old style hotel room in Interlaken. Oh ya, there was still another good one in Zurich airport dayroom.

Beside going to touristic places, such as Luzern and Interlaken in Swiss. I enjoyed my stay in Markus's village, Wettswil. I finally saw his little house in the forest, walking around in the snow, eating Rosti, Cheese Fondue and healthy breakfast. The scenery around Swiss is truly amazing. People here are active. They like jogging, snowboarding, skiing, sleighing and biking due to the good environment.

I read a tourguide describing swiss people - they are the most wealthy, healthy and wise people in the earth! Somehow I do agree with it. Swiss are lucky.

well, well, well, now I have back to the reality.... I precious the experience in Europe and it made me grow..

Feeling grateful and now I gonna move on, be good and hope for the next trip..

Siracusa, Sicily

Without much planning, we took a bus to Siracusa to meet up Vincenzo and Elisa.

Wanted to go Siracusa since the second week in Sicily but seems like can't be arranged and I do not want to go alone.

But finally, in my last weekend here, I have been to Siracusa.

This town is very peaceful. I would say it's better than catania.

We visited few places together like Ear of Dionysius (Orecchio di Dionisio), Greek Theatre & Roman Theatre.

The big difference between Greek and Roman Theatre is the shape. Greek Theatre is halved- circle whereas, Roman is the fulled-circle which like Colossuem.

After the walking at the archeology sites, we went to Ortigia (a small island) to take a walk. It was very quiet, along the sea. Then, we reached a restaurant called long night (lungo notte) which is facing the sea. We had good seafood and watching the sun set...

The trip is simple but wonderful. Beautiful sea and it was really Romantic. Now i know why people saying Sicily is a great place for honeymoon. :) With this natural environment, people feel romantic, no stress and calm in mind.

Tonight Claudio invited us for a pizza dinner at a famous Sicilian restaurant in catania. I am happy that he brought me to explore many places and food in Catania. The dinner was nice with antipasti, pizza, dessert and wine. =)

The pizza is the best among I eat in Catania. Today we also met his wife and a friend. They are cheerful. I feel that people in Catania is happy and not like in other city. Main difference is they are really sincere.

I bet I will surely miss this place after one week. This is my 5th week here. One more week to go.. *mixed feeling*

My dream destination - Venice

Finally I have been to the water city - Venice.

Venice is one of my dream destination. It's a great place for honeymoon. The first time I discovered this place is from a song... describing Venice.. a special city in the world.

Then, came across it again when I seen my housemate's travel pics and about his experience there. It was 4 years ago. And I know, I must go to this wonderful place.

It would be good if you can go with your lover too =)

I was amazed that, there is no car, bicycle or motorcycles at all in the city. Everyone is walking around and the main transport are boats, ferries and gondola. The taxi is actually a speed boat.

I like the small canal between the building. The water is clean and calm. It is better when a gondola passes by. The way of the gondolier rows the boat is very graceful. Together with the sound of the water, tt just like in a dream...

The core of the city is Piazza San Marco. To me, it feels with happiness. People playing around with the pigeons, tourists taking pics, stalls selling souvenirs. It made me feel happy even just looking at the expression of the people. =)

There are not a lot of residence in the town. I can see tourists, souvenirs shops and restaurant. I feel that this is like another place mainly for tourists. I bought some souvenirs for friends and family. The souvenirs from Venice are MURANO glass, face masks and some dolls.

My souvenirs are all from Murano. I bought 2 of the better-known term "millefiori" is a style of murrine pendants. One for myself and one for my beloved sis.

It is defined by each layer of molten color being shaped by a mold into a star, then cooled and layered again. When sliced, this type of murrine has many points (thus mille (thousand).

Of course, I will never forget to buy something for theng theng and friends. =)

Well, too many words to describe Venice. I will bring Venice to my dream tonight.

I hope I will be there again... I want to bring my love ones to go there again..

Visit to Francesco's house

Yesterday we went to Francesco Torre's house. His house is really big and has a big farm.

In the farm, we can see oranges, mandarin, grapes, lemons, olive trees, etc...

It is the biggest house I have ever been to.

His family is very friendly. Nice to meet them and it's very warm to sit down together with the family for the dinner.

At the end of the dinner, he gave me and Kevin each a bottle of Homemade Wine. The wine is made from the grapes of their farm. According to them, they called it Grandpa's wine (il vino di no no gino) =)

There are 2 little kids, they are so lovely. The little baby is really adorable =)

I can't believe the working environment here is better than in Singapore.

Although my singapore group is very close, but in overall, I would say I am not that close with many people in the company.

I can see people are not that friendly and don't even say "Hi" when meeting ea other.

Perhaps, this is called culture.

I feel the difference when I was in other big companies.

With this group of nice people, I can adapt to the life here easily without feeling any shock or strange. =)

A Simple and Beautiful Saturday

Couldn't book any trip in this weekend as most of the trips do not have enough number of people. So, I stay back in Catania.

Unexpectedly, my colleague Claudio brought me to Acicastello for Sicilian Breakfast.

Yes. it's granita with brioche.

Really happy to have such a wonderful breakfast today.

After that, we went to the castle. There are some archeologies from bronze age, iron age and romano.... Sicily has been conquered by many ppl, like arabic, spain, greece, finland, and lastly italian.

Lovely people & dinner in Catania

We went for a seafood dinner at Acitrezza. This is a port with some small little islands. In summer, it will be very crowded as italian likes the sun and sea very much.

One thing we can't miss is the seafood from Medditerrenean sea. I would say, the prawn and squid here are very fresh and juicy.

Enriching the dinner with good white wine and nice people. It was the best dinner i had so far in Sicily. Also, yesterday, 11 November was a special day in Italy where people will drink the new wine from the barrel.

Together with the wine, they will eat sausages and chestnuts.

I hope that I can visit the place or some others nice restaurant for italian seafood again. I dont think I have a chance to have it in Singapore.

Well, this is my 3rd week in Italy. Besides missing home, other things are OK for me. most importantly is the people here. They made my days and I look forward to work everyday.

Away from daily production job and learn new things :)

Many good technical and italian teachers around me. I guess, when I go back, both technical and italian skills will improve. :)

Mt. Etnae

Fantastic excursion at Mt. Etnae, an active volcano. The biggest active volcano in the world??

Last eruption on one the day before I went, 6 Nov!!!

The whole valley is made of Lava. Learnt many things on that day. The eruption doesn't really explode from the summit. It can be happened at any area of the region.

That was a big eruption on 2002. It created 16 lava streams and 100+ craters.

Now we can see the streams from far. They are really huge and now frozen..

Miracle happened was some trees can survive during the eruption. Now, they are half-buried in the lava land.

For the new trees to grow on lava land, it would need about 100 years.

That was the first snow on Mt. Etnae. Over the weekend, I saw, 1/4 of it is covered with snow today. (this pic was taken at 1000m from the sea level)

The hill is big, covered with lava ash and pebbles. we climbed on it and it was really cold and windy. I was shivering/sneezing and need to put on my gloves.. But the experience was great!

After that we went down to a cave which covered by lava. I have to be real careful!!

It's a bit slippery and the steps are small...

That's why we are equipped with helmets and torch lights.

Gatherings and Dinners

I had 3 dinners with the colleagues (vincenzo, claudio and rino) in last week. Happy to meet them again and had a good catch up.

People here are very friendly and there will be more gatherings in the coming weeks. Tomorrow we will be going to Acitrezza for dinner, probably will be seafood.

I realised that the antipasti in here is super big portion...

The Italian meal is normally in this sequence:

Antipasti -> primo -> secondo -> vege/insalata -> dolce/fruits -> cafe

However, normally after the first dish which is the antipasti, I have to stop.

"sono piena!!" (I am very full)

Although it's just the beginning as in french we called it entree but that would be enough.

Last meal with Rino and family, the antipasti were smoked salmon and swordfish, octopus, fried small fish and squids, and lots of mussels... after that, I have to continue with a pasta and I skipped the secondo (meat) and vege, last but not least, I had a traditional dessert (VERY sweet).

However, the best portion of the meal is ANTIPASTI!! :)

My First Week in Catania

After a stressed but enjoyable first week, I discover something new:

Achievement!! (non work related)

Able to drive at the left side, in this no-rule city
No regret to learn Italian before I come. Am able to communicate in simple italian when asking for a way, ordering food, reading labels and signs
Enjoy a lot of nice italian food
Know a bunch of nice and helpful colleagues in M6
I feel that I am emotionally stronger than many people... such as, making decision in daily life and easy to adapt to new environment with no much troubles.
Able to wake up real early in the morning, 6 to 7am just for video/voice call with my family. (This is not the piggy me, and I will enjoy my sleep till later time for tomorrow)
Found out the best & cheapest communication method with my family - Skype! Surprising, there is NO DELAY! Good!
Last but not least, my husband has done something he normally not doing in anywhere. He enjoys video conferencing with me so much and even takes initiative to call me!

It's my second day in Catania. Firstly I feel a bit stressed when driving in the city. I would say there is no rules at all. Nobody follows the red lights, no helmet for motorcyclists and ppl are driving recklessly. As a driver in Singapore, I am totally not used to it. With my style, I suffered to drive in KL and even in Penang few weeks ago.

Well, all these hassle have overcome by the warm hospitality of the people here. Colleagues in the office are very friendly and super helpful. They are putting effort to help you on everything! :) I really appreaciate many offers from them.

I do not feel as stress/lonely as I was in Agrate, Milan. Yes, i was in catania for one week, and I felt the people here are totally different. Also, after 3 years working in ST/Numonyx, my network is getting bigger. I know quite a number of people in Catania. Many ppl came to my place and say "ciao" to me. Many surprises as this is the first time I see their real face =)

Hopefully, I have more chance to talk to them personally after so many emailsssssss in the past.

In this trip, I also have chance to utilise my basic Italiano. I am happy that I am able to order food and simple chat with the owner in the restaurant. Also, know how to see some of the words on the street. It's really very helpful! =)

I will continue to learn Italiano after my IELTS exams next year.

And, I suppose, my italiano will improve after 6 weeks here as there are so many good teachers!

Due to some problem with my SD, I couldn't upload the pics to the PC. I will get a new SD card ASAP.

Nevertheless, looking forward for nice italian food and some weekend trips!

Well, in my mind, I miss my family soooo much... I wil get a better way to keep a close contact with them...

Flying again

After my last travel to australia, I have been flying off from Singapore for many times this year. Since there are cheap tickets back to KL, I stopped taking coaches and flew most of the time.
In this year, I flew to Hong Kong for 2 times, Penang for once and several times back home, KL.

I didn't plan for any big trip in this year as we were having force leaves. I've burnt most of all of my annual leave.

Well, coincidentally, my company has arranged a 6-week training to Sicily, Italy for me. So, I will be flying off to Italy next week. Can I consider this as my annual trip? I am quite happy for this, but on the other hand, I am a bit hesitated. I gonna miss Yu and my family for 6 weeks and I afraid of the BORED life in there.

This time, I will go with a colleague who come from Malaysia too. We speak Cantonese and I guess it would be better as he is a guy. u know, I m very timid.

Since this is not my first time going to Europe, I have no BIG travel plan in mind. I notice that most of the places in Europe are quite similar and after being to Rome, I felt saturated with churches and musuem.

Initially I have few places wanted to go, but the flight from Catania is too expensive as the place is not too accessible as Milan.

I wish to meet up Shi Song in London. It has been years I promised for that. I hope this will come true. Beside that, will have few sightseeing trips to Venice and hope that I can spend sometime in the beautiful Switzerland. Markus will offer me a place in Zurich and I wish to go to Interlaken and Luzern. It seems like all of my trip will be after my training as I do not have much tie to travel too far during the weekend. I hope Jon will join some of my trips too.

Kevin is asking me to go to Rome and Paris. I guess I will leave him alone for the trip to Rome.. I might consider Paris again, as I like the place a lot. :) Don't mind to go again.

When I am there, I will consistently update my blog. So, please stay tune!! =)

I am in the midst to decide how my future will be?

Sometime it's really hard to take a decision to change your life... Many of us would like to stay at the comfort zone and resist to make a change. However, when there is some circumstances change in our life and force us to move...

As for me.... what are the options I would like to choose?

Going to Hong Kong?
Going to Australia?
Staying back in Singapore for the next few years?
Going back to KL?

too many options. and among these, I would choose to be in Australia/Singapore.

But I know if I am going to Australia, I have to start all over again, and alone..... and it's not the time now as I have some commitment with my career.

If I would choose Australia PR, I need wait for 3 years. I guess, I will feel more comfortable too.

I need to find out more about australia and perhaps, need to go there again...

what to do? but first thing, I must equipped myself with IELTS, > band 7 results... before I choose any option...

Shoes Lover

Again, I bought another pair of sandals.

I always feel that I can't find a pair of suitable shoes to match my outfit.

That's why we need different kinds of shoes:
- sandals (weekend shopping & sometime to work)
- canvas (such as converse shoes, casual and cool)
- sports (travelling, running or gym)
- boots (traveling in cool places, of course, I always think that it looks good)
- flip flops (beach, neighbourhood)
- heels (interviews, dinner, even I still keep my wedding heels which I only wore once)
- flats (mainly for works, cause I am lazy to tie the shoes lace sometime when rushing to work in the morning =P)

See see, there are so many reasons for us to owe shoessss. In total, I have 20 pairs of shoes today! Unbelievable. I know there are LOTs of ladies outside owe more than me... If I don't control myself, I guess, I will buy more! =D

I found this magazine at home last few weeks, it was printed in June 2001. It teaches many nice italian cuisine which I always wanted to learn.

I really don't mind to eat Italian food everyday... Believe it or not, we only cook pasta at home and never cook chinese food before.

Perhaps, it's easy, less oily and healthy. The taste is just now.

Tried to cook for few friends before and they think that it's ok! Especially chee leong, he really likes the Carbonara that I made!!! hahaha! :)

Since I found the source, I will learn more and try it out every weekend..

my next recipes: Baked Eggplants (Melanzane al Forno)

Ingredients
2 tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and cubed
Salt
2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 fresh chili pepper, seeded and minced
1 tablespoon minced Italian parsley
4 small eggplants

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°.

Toss the tomatoes with ½ teaspoon salt, the garlic, vinegar, 1 tablespoon olive oil, the chili pepper, and the parsley in a bowl; marinate for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, cut the eggplants in half lengthwise, make small incisions in the flesh, and sprinkle with salt. Brush with the remaining olive oil and place on a baking sheet, cut side down; bake for about 30 minutes, or until soft. (might change to sliced eggplant, faster :P. What do you think?)

Place the eggplants on a serving platter, cut side up, and spoon on the marinated tomatoes. Serve the eggplants at room temperature or cold.

What should I do to reduce the force on me then?? stay close to the wall? lie on the ground? or sit on the ground??? The internet quiz came across my mind.. But I didn't do it! Oh dear.... I should do it in order to get the answer!!

Colonoscopy II

After 21 hours of fasting, I experienced the real HUNGRY... it's weird as normally I always do not have appetite but only Yesterday... I was hungry for the whole day....

I drank, 7 Up, honey and finally a hot clear soup (just the water, which I felt very filling!! =D) for my dinner... Things were not that bad until the diarhhea part. I had "Fleet" the medication for diarhhea specially for medication procedure....

wow... the effect was really powerful... in the middle of it, I was nearly black out again!! hahaha.. i rest for 2 hours... again woke up around 11pm... continue for it... the medication tasted really bad..

This morning, 6am, I woke up again and had "Fleet" again.. feel like vomiting...

It was really BAD.. I told myself, it would be my first and last time!!

Early in the morning, we went to NUH... I went into the room by myself... was a bit afraid but when i saw a little girl about aged 4 - 5 will on-going the same thing like me... I became strong again... =)

The procedure was not fully sedation.. I was halved awake... I felt the pain, and I heard voices saying, "almost done... almost done".... then.. i felt my abdomen was bloated and pain after that... was really giddy and I felt asleep after the whole thing...

until I felt someone touched on my face, and I saw it was my husband.. haha.. he said, "You slept for quite long", then he told the nurse "I think she is almost ok..." hahaha (as if he is the doctor)..

so i woke up and changed.. good news, the results seem no big deal, I can EAT again.. bad news was I will be scheduled for another CT scan for my liver and pelvis again.... in Oct...

ermmmmmmmm.....

On the way back, I fell asleep.. the giddiness hadn't gone yet I guess...

Then I slept for 6 hours like a dead fish... and now.. i felt sleepy again.. tomorrow will have another day of hospitalization leave.. gonna rest at home....

Well, am worry about my CT scan again..

So many wedding to attend recently... There was another one from a colleage on last satuday.. It was a wedding lunch at Good Wook Park Hotel. Quite a grand wedding.

I was wondering what to wear for a lunch.. however, I can't find any clothes better than a black dress... coz most of my wardrobe are for working.. jeans, shirt, t shirt. somehow, I am bored about it... then I had some comment that I am a bit too elegant.. hahaha! :S

Well, I need a change!!!

I just tried to pack some of the "old clothes" and keep aside... I found that some clothes is about 5 to 10 years.. some really look like rag.. wahhahaa... I think my style has been keep for these years. Except for the sizes...

It would be a good time to shop for new clothes.. due to end of sales.... ermmmm.. might take a look in this month.. ;)

Colonoscopy

Ermmm.. finally.. I had my check up on my stomach...

and I need to prepare for colonoscopy.. sigh..

Surprisingly, the problem is not from my stomach. It suspects to be my colon..

well, this procedure is not that simple... need a very good preparation and will have 2 days of hospitalization..

I am waiting for the day to come.. I hope, after this, there won't be any other screening.

and wish that nothing will happen.

I do think that I am a very BRAVE person. So far, I have been thru so many screening/scanning...

and all I have done by myself... ;)

for this, I might need my husband to accompany me.. coz I will be go for a sleep for this procedure.. and I can't really drive/go back alone after that.

Packed and Busy Weeks

I have been eating too much, went for entertaining and I guess I spent a lot in these 2 weeks. There were gatherings, meet up, drinks, wedding dinner, KTV.. etc...

In work, gonna start a new responsibility in another devices.. I afraid I can't take it. really lack of manpower... I have problem and need more training.. Production job is still on going but more Test engineering job gonna take over. I am more interested in test engineering, but I am lack of ability. ermmmmm.. headache..

well, life goes on!

It has been yearss I didn't buy any book, but I wanted to improve my English and also fill up my boring time in Singapore. I want to make reading a habit!

Went to Clarke Quay more than 4 times in past 2 weeks. KTV session at Liang Court, Meeting Philipp for dinner, Meeting Friends for Sun with Moon, my fav jap food and brought Daniele (our Italian Trainer) to visit Clarke Quay.

Colleagues Dinner with Daniele at AMK for crabsss. Chilies Crabs, Creamy Crabs, Black Pepper Crab and Crabs Mee Hoon. Among all, I like Chilies Crabs and Creamy Crabs. Black Pepper is super spicy for me.. I gave it to my friend.. haha!

My sis lost her last Melbourne trip photos in April. She cried, fed up and upset!

The pics were lost when she transferred them to the PC. All the pics in the SD card were gone.

After consulting IT experts, sending it for recovery.. still can't help.

I told my friends, and Geng yoke sent me a software to try. Though, I have no hope on it as the SD was tried out in many software and can't be recovered.

Since I went home last week, I got the SD card from Jess and want to try to recover it when I am back to singapore since I have nothing much to do here.. also, wanna see the pics..hahaha!

I tried to recover it.. the folder is found, but can't open it..

tried again with 2nd level.. only 9 files are found and all corrupted...

It's expected. and there is a last hope function of the software to search as per partition of the storage device.. and it will format it..

Since, there is no hope, I just tried to search by that way...

many files are found..and i clicked on them.. seeing many nice food pics.. ermmmm... I guess, they might the pics she wants. As I know SW likes to eat a lot, fine dining... hahhaa

Went for Angels and Demons... The story is not very amazing. What I like in this movie is it brings me back to Rome! The scenery in Rome, reminds me of Vatican City, St. Peter Church, Victoria church, Pantheon, Sistine Chapel, the fountain of 4 rivers.. I didn't know that Sistine Chapel is used to vote for Pope. I was there 2 years ago, and it was really crowded, full of tourist and all head up.. looking at the ceiling.. finding the bible characters...

No photo taking in Sistine Chapel.. though there were so many tourists but everyone was quiet. They appreciate the drawings on the wall and ceiling. :)

EWS department gathering.. we had 19 people went for the amazing buffalo wings at Sunset Grill.

Why is it so AMAZING? the recipe of the buffalo wings is the mexican chilies!! People come here to challenge their endurance level of the spices!

There are 30 levels. We tried level 3 & 8.. I can't even take it level 3 wings... I tried a bite of level 8. It was killing me!!! I was totally lost control.. finding ice, water, vege etc etc to cool down. It was burning my throat, lips, mouth... and my tear came out.. hahaha

Know what? 6 of my colleagues who are very daring.. they tried level 30!!! commit suicide? haha

We had Tuna Sashimi (surprisingly only 3 little pieces for SGD18!!).. luckily we didn't order tuna belly.. it costs SGD45.. well, also we ordered hokkaido ramen, my favourite beef TATAKI.. ( i miss it sooo much since the last one in Melbourne), salmon sushi maki and green tea ice cream..

It's YUMMY!! I love it! I must go again before 4th June. too bad, I forgot to take some pics of the food...

We spent less than 100 after 30% discount with these kind of good food and I think it's really worth it!!! :)

Hong Kong-Shen Zhen trip

The main purpose for this short trip to Hong Kong-Shen Zhen last weekend was to attend my brother-in-law's wedding.

The wedding was held at Sheraton Shen Zhen.. With the big land in China, Sheraton Shen Zhen is like a resort!

Mun was really gorgeous and beautiful. I felt that she looks like a star! Anyway, she was the star of the night. Happy for her to marry to a well-doing husband. =)

They have luxuries life in Shen Zhen and big house with a dog.. =D

I always think that their dog is having higher lifestyle than us.. hhahaa!

One day in Hong Kong - went to Mongkok. My favourite place with many CHEAP stuffs and nice food....

Due to swine flu, I bought some masks and wearing it around the city. =D

First time cook fish!!

Today we had a mini gathering at home. For the first time I prepared for 6 persons (Chee Leong, Ching, Erin, Henry, Siu Fung and I). I worried I can't manage it. I believe the quality will drop.

Well, it's also my first time I tried to cook fish. The main purpose I wanted to cook today is to try the spices called Tuscany.. I sprinkled on the cod fish that spreaded with olive oil.. then I tried to fried it! Yummy!!

Also, I followed my colleague's advise on how to cook baked potatoes. Yes. Taste good.

However, from the pic above, I think my carbonara is unsuccessful... sigh... luckily they didn't complain much.. hahaha!

The bread is simply Garlic bread.. toast in the oven with garlic butter spread.

Lastly, the salad is made of small cucumber + tomatoes + french dressing.. not bad~

Well, well, I think still need more improvement in cooking. I only give myself 7 points! =P

Wish to improve more and make more tasty food for friends =D

After the dinner, we had mahjong session as usual and I lost 12 dollars. haha

I was so careless. We went to Mongkok Dim Sum at Geylang with Erin and Henry.

The food was really nice. Though it was very hot, no aircon but the taste of the food is nice. I think it's better than some restaurant.

It's cheap, less than SGD10 ea. We just left after the brunch and heading to North Bridge Road to buy some other car spare parts. It was a toy shop, I feel like buying something for En En. Wanted to call him and ask whihc model of "BB warrior" he wants. And I found....

My Mobile Phone was GONE!!!

Too bad, there is no chance to perform anymore. Miss the time in Uni. we had lots of performance and gave me many exposure. hahaha! Just like being a singer. =)

My first roller blading lesson

Went to East Coast Park today with Siu Fung and Iris.

As usual, Siu Fung will play his remote control car. Iris rented a bicycle and I met Melinda for my first blading lesson. It seems to be not too tough, at least I fell down lesser unexpectedly.

I can slide independently though it's very very slow!! I hope I can improve soon. I am happy seeing people so relax.. blading around along the seaside.. listening to Mp3 and with smooth breeze...

I sweated a lot today. Too bad, I didn't hear Mani's phonecall.. so it's too late when I met him. a bit guilty. by that time, I was really too tired to do any further blading.

I wish that one day i can blade together with my friends. :)

It's really a great workout for the day!! What a break through for my boring and lazy sunday! :D

Finally watched the movie TAKEN.. it's an action movie. However, it has enlightened me something -- Better not to travel alone... hahaa!

I plan to travel alone in Europe.. Perhaps, Venice in this year.

But after this movie, I gonna think twice. It shown the other sides of Paris (Europe).. hahaa.. scary.

If I am taken, my father doesn't have the ability to save me. =D Would recommend my sis and niece to watch it. haha! =D

Yesterday, my colleague asked me to modify a program. Initially, I don't know what he really wants to do. Most probably due to my phobia in programming, I was a bit worried.

Nevertheless, I have to do it.

I tried to modify, adding new tests and changing some variables. at last, I know what am I doing and get the point!

First compilation... Oh no... what the hell. so many errors.

could be missing something. I have added another new test. recompiled... Oh Good!! no error.

Well, it doesn't end. I continue to test a wafer with my 'first' engineering program.

This morning, It seems like the results is positive!

I created a report and show to my italy counterpart in the conference call.

Wow, I heard: Good Job!!!

and I will release the next program revision for production! :) It has solved one of the big issue of my product! Yeah!

I am very happy, because this is my first time doing programming with minima help.

I hope I can improve my skills fast! really....

I feel satisfaction with it. I hope the satisfaction will motivate me for my further works!

Aglio e Olio Pasta

Spaghetti aio oio, one of the most classic Roman dishes, is the one dish that all Italian men know how to make. It's also quite popular as a late night snack among friends, say after a night out at the theater.

To serve 4-6:

Prep Time: 05 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
1-2 cloves of garlic, minced, or more to taste
1/2 a dried chili pepper, crumbled, or more to taste (don't overdo it, and fresh hot peppers, will be fine too)
1/3 cup good olive oil
1 pound spaghetti
Grated Parmigiano or Pecorino Romano (optional)

Preparation:

Bring 6 quarts of lightly salted water to a boil and add the spaghetti.

Meanwhile, mince the garlic, crumble the red pepper, and sauté them in the oil until the garlic begins to brown.

Turn off the heat (the garlic will continue to brown; you don't want it to overbrown and become bitter).

When the spaghetti are done, drain them well, transfer them to a bowl, and stir the sauce into them.

Serve with grated Parmigiano or Pecorino Romano on the side.

Something has came across my mind.

Lover and Soulmate

Everyone can find their lovers but not easy to find a soulmate.

Lover, someone that you love and he loves you. However, it doesn't mean that both of you have the same interest to share together. Love is just the feeling that make you care about the person. Love is a feeling that make you to contribute or sacrifice.

Well, the words - Sacrifice.. I believe everyone has heard about "there is always sacrification in love"...

Sacrifice means, doing things that you are not willing to.. but you just do it to make another person happy.

But for soulmate, this is someone who naturally has the same interest with you. Someone who can share many things, thoughts together. They almost have the same thoughts, same interests, and do things together. On top of that, there is love between both of them.

sounds wonderful. However, I believe, It's hard to find someone like that in life.

People have different background. Different families, different races, different countries etc etc.......Even siblings from the same home can have different ways of living and thoughts.

To me, it's difficult to find someone to have the same thoughts/interests as you. In relationship, there is always a certain level of tolerance. Both parties try to understand and tolerate ea other in order to go further. and once communication breakdown, the relationship will get fragile. sad to say that when relationship has gone up to certain no. of years, the hot feeling of Love should have gone. What's left is the commitment and responsibilities...

We can see in many old couples. However, they might feel happy and contented after they have their own family, seeing children gone up bla bla bla... something might be lacking between the couples. the focus will be more on the family...

Somehow, I feel it's quite tiring huh.... but that's life.. and what kind of life you want to choose....

Well, if you can really find your soulmate, that is the best thing in relationship. At least, many things are mutual to ea other and it is easier for a relationship to grow.

Nothing is perfect... No one is perfect in this world. There is always a 80/20 rule in everything.

Anyway, just some of my general thoughts.... what do you think? :)

This time round is my stomach. I am having gastric. This is the worse and nightmare for me.

Today it's the third day. Well, I hope it will get well soon. Comparing with days before, at least it is not that pain without touching it.

I don't wanna have another scope check up for my body.

So far, I think i have many extra check up..

1) ENT check for my sinus
2) Pap Smear
3) CT scan for my brain
4) Abdomen scanning
5) X-ray for my spine (corcsics)
6) X-ray on my palm

plus others standard body check up with X ray.

I hope this time no need to go to endo scope check to my stomach. I think above check up, except for X ray and Abdomen scanning. Others are quite scary for me! It's painful!!!

Well, my stomach is still bloated... sigh... it's like having 4 months baby.. hahahaha!

When does it become flat again? and not pain....

The weather is changing. It's too hot in the afternoon, especially after lunch. I am melting and burning.

In this 2 weeks, I just feel burning.. and headache!
I have been sleeping early these days as I really feeling not well!!

I hope the weather will change soon.

Well, after I have finish my exams, I feel my life is a bit empty. Nothing to work on... as if there is no plan ahead. Am I waiting for my training?

Everything is not confirmed yet. Well, I hope things at least to be confirmed soon, so i can play ahead.

At least for my piano class, or maybe.. blading?!

Works is getting more and more. I am not only working on Test Engineering, and seems like I have never put down my Product Engineering jobs...

It's good that there is still WORKS for us.... not to be retrenched at this moment. However, Sometime i just feel that I can't take it!

Time can pass by faster.. perhaps.. but sometime, I have been working for half a day, nothing concrete has been done. Sigh...

I must work on my own plan.. plan for something.. to be done... in Test Engineering every week.

Satisfied that there is some assignment to start on this week and succesfully done a few. I hope later on.. more to come and more to learn...

When I passed by Marks and Spencer yesterday, I saw different taste of soup.. Really wanted to buy all. But I was very tired after 6 hours of exams, and before that I bought an oven... I was dragging my oven actually.. hahaa

At last, I bought 4 soups.. "winter vegetables", "Minestrone", "Leek & Potatoes" & "Carrot & Coriander"..

Can't wait to try them up!!

I guess, tonight I will make Carbonara with this soup for my dinner :o)

Yeah. I have done the 3 papers.

They are difficult for me as it seems to be not enough time to finish the questions.

Perhaps, I am too old and my brain has degraded. I have confident that I could answer the questions, but just can't finish some of them :(

Well Well, It's over. Yesterday was really a challenge for me! It has been years I didn't use my brain.....

and now my neck is pain as my head was down for about 6 hours ....

I will see how's the results. It's not really that important now cause I had done my best (perhaps).. hahha

It's time to celebrate and play!! :)

I can't bear of the weather. It's very hot! Especially during the lunch time. I think my sweat flew from my back to my pants!!

I can't even hold my car steering and gear! It was burning. Everyone in my car was shouting. When I pushed the Outside Temperature thermometer button of my car, it shown 39 Degree!

It's horrible. I hope tonight I can have a good night sleep...

I can feel that my skin begins to feel itch.. arggggh...

Few more weeks to go before leaving to Sicily. I had a happy dream yesterday which I went to Venice! I was alone coz my sis can't afford to buy the ticket to fly from Malaysia to Venice.

I rented a boat and row by myself, visiting different small islands in Venice. Even I visited the Glass Musuem.. hahaha. It was so small...

I must be thinking of going to Venice too much... The ticket from Sicily to Venice is about SGD400 and I plan to go for 2D 2N maybe... Only I afraid is alone.. where I will reach there at night.. ermmm... scared!

Hope to get somebody to go with me...... Venice is really my dream place beside Paris & Santorini.

I should start to plan for the trip next week then... :)

When I went out from my house just now, I saw beautiful trees grow with pinky and white flowers.. the flowers are dropping when blow by the wind. It's really a beautiful scenery ever I can find near to me!

Getting stress... and stress...

I will plan to study seriously in this week. No outing at night. Spend lesser time on the web..

Revise everything all over again.. and most importantly SLEEP early.

that's my time to wake up every morning... arrghhh.. really worry that I will overslept or look like a zombie with rusted brain.

Many Good News from our family today!!!

Theng Theng, my niece gets 10As in her SPM!!! Straight As. So unexpected.. our whole family is really proud of her!

Now she gonna apply for ASEAN scholarship for her A level studies in Singapore.

May things go well for her, and she definitely will have a bright future. One thing I admire her is her personality who is always Happy-Go-Lucky!! :D

Another good news is... My Sis, Jess has promoted to Senior Manager!! Wow.. Hardwork really counts! :) Good job, sis!

Unexpected...

It was 2 years ago I been to Italy for my training. Was new, excited and also worry about the work. It was my first time to Europe. The last trip was a bit bored but it was an eye opening for me. I have a good chance to travel around Europe.

I never thought of the second chance to travel again to Italy. This time will be in Sicily for one month. If things go smoothly, the plan will be started in mid of April.

The main thing that gonna do this time is to learn programming. Then will transfer a new product back to singapore... doing electrical analysis.. and program modification. I bet the job will be more meaningful if i have the competency. Will try my best to learn.

Beside working, I will try to enjoy my life in Italy. I love the food as usual. :) Will try some wine & cheese! Experiencing the local life and know more ppl. I must learn more Italian before I go!! Where is my teacher??!! Must have intensive course then..

If I go for one month, I plan to go to 2 places - Venice? Capri Island? Santorini? Florence?or visit my friends in UK and Switzerland?

Well, well, the nearest thing to me is my admission test. after the last weekend of enjoyment, I think I have formatted my brain.. haha!!

I must keep the momentum.. Starting to study in the office tomorrow during lunch time? for this one week plus?!

This week is really different for me. I was very busy in the office. Besides attending meetings, discussion, I have to manage production, projects, trials and also reports..

Argghhh.. I hardly have time to rest!

It's always like that in works. It's either very busy or free. so when i got back home, like now, I feel exhausted!

I have no energy to do anything. can't study.. no mood to chat.. and hope to sleep early today.

tomorrow will be my last day for the week. I hope i can work on something for my exams. And this coming weekend, my primary schoolmates will be here. :)

I bet we will have fun again..

I do start to think what can I do after the exams? I will be having 4 days week.. more free time?
going home more often? learning piano class? or go travel? learning italiano?

It's sunny outside.. and very quiet. I can hear birds singing, sounds from the leaves..

Listening to songs from "Jazz in the City". So, what's my plan for today?

Ermmm.. Will continue to study Biology. hope that I can finish the text book today. If there is time, I will give myself a break later - to watch Slumdog Millionaire.

I hope..

So far, I think I need to research on one more topic about "Mutan", really don't know what is that. No idea at all...

Paper 1: humanities & social science, I think I will redo all the questions again.

Paper 2: written communication.. ermmm. All depends on my luck perhaps. I seldom read and write.

Paper 3: Bio, Chem, Phy.. almost cover 80%.. left some doubts behind. Need to find out before the test.

Well, though the confidence on this paper is not high, but still I will try my best. At least, I think I got to know more about chem, bio in this period. My brain has started to work out again. :)

For my job, will be converting to a programmer soon. I think the confidence in here is worse than taking the admission papers. sigh... I don't know what will happen to me.. for anything, just will try my best. Hope I won't disappoint anyone. :S

Almost one month, I didn't go hang out with my friends. Well, for few reasons behind: always tired, can't leave my studies, pay cut, and lazy. I do enjoy the time to be alone at home sometime.. So I have time for myself, to think... and think......

ermmm... i need a break after my exams.. hope to go for a short trip. Bali? Tioman? It has been a long time I didn't go to the beach.. (except St. Kilda and great ocean road.. haha).. I mean, it's going for snorkelling. But, can my skin take the sea water??? I even dreamt of go snorkelling with my sis and Diver Mel last friday.. haha!

Let's see if any trip can work out after my exams....

Killer Headache!!

After so long, there is no headache..

but in the afternoon, after lunch, i started to feel the pain. It's like a hoop tighten my head!

I know that would be getting worse. started to have pain till the eyes and back of my head around 5 something.

And I was totally can't take it around 7 something. I sat on the sofa at the lobby and really wanna give up to drive home. But was worried, if I really sleep here, what time should I wake up? till morning. coz i know it has no cure if I don't take medicine.

The pain grew when I drove. till half of my face... to the nose and whole neck was really stiff.

I drove slowly and reached home... I almost can't see clearly.

I had medicine quickly, took a bath and slept...... and now. around 12am... it has gone......

wondering why, it was so serious???? I felt like vomitting too. sigh.... Perhaps, I am too anxious again.. :(

Long Weekend

Having 4 day week due to low production is good and bad to myself.

Good - rest more, can concentrate on my studies and can go home more often without taking any leave.

Bad - Pay cut and can't accumulate leaves for big trip.

This will be on going until September. So, I only have chance to go travel in the year end.

So, which country I would like to go in this year? Melbourne-Sdyney-Brisbane? Japan? Taiwan?

ermmmm...

Well, Yesterday I had a very fulfilled day. I studied in library for 4 hours and done many questions of the practice test.

For today, didn't do much in studies. But I woke up early to send my car for service, my laptop for repair and I bought a new electronics toothbrush. Wah!!! It's really useful! No wonder, doctor is using it... haha. I can feel my teeth has gone thru the dental cleaning! hahaha

Then I had a nap from 6pm to 930pm!! Very lazy. I can't stay away from a nap in weekend as usual. Think later I need to do some questions on the practice test.. else, I won't feel comfortable.

Luckily, there is no group chat today. Else, I will be attracted and addicted again. The group chat is very FUN!

So, what's my plan for tomorrow? Start on Humanities & Social Sciences?? Perhaps, Yes. not much time left....

Headache (Feb 2009)

Medical Report: My headache status update

Today I went for my headache check up after taking 4 months of medication.

In the past 4 months, my headache reduced to only ONE time. The one and only headache is caused by the hot weather after waking up from an afternoon nap.

I am so glad that this headache can be cured. Yes. Almost cure :)

I will continue to have another 6 months of medication (alternate days). The next check up will be in August. By the time, I think I will be 99% cured!!

Black Out!

When I woke up, I found myself was sweating. The weather is super hot.

I knew that I was late.. So i quickly jump out from the bed and straight away went for a bath. After changing, I suddenly felt vomitting. My stomachache is not feeling well, then I blacked out.

Luckily I was still in the bedroom, and I quickly lie down on the bed. black out for few minutes, and I found myself sweating.

I was wondering whether I should take MC for today. but I have another medical appt on Wed for my headache check up. So, I decided to go to work. I guess, my blood glucose is low in the morning.

At last, I didn't drove to the company. I had my breakfast at the canteen and took a cab. sigh, it costs me SGD27. my 5 days petrol price.

Ermm, think I am too weak. always tired and sleepy. no energy to do anything and easily get sick. I gonna do something with it. start exercising... ermm.. but i am a very lazy person. also mainly because of my eczema, I really cant sweat much. I found my eczema is coming back again. sigh........ :(

Dinner!

Yesterday, we didn't want to go out for dinner.

Reasons: crowded outside, expensive due to Vday & I need to study.

So we had done some cookings at home. This is the best steak that we made so far.

I suppose, we bought the correct part of steak and got the right way to cook it (not me). haha

For the first time I made this kind of breakfast for myself. I found it very delicious!

There are Shaved Ham, Cheddar Cheese, Tomatoes, some salt and olive oil in the Baguette.

This is what I like to eat in the morning. Not "Nasi Lemak", "fried noodles".. hahaa..

Call-in Farewell Party!

Just gave my bunch of primary schoolmates a call. They are having farewell party for Soong Wei and Ngiam at Souled Out, Sri Hatamas.

I can hear the music and chit chat. I feel the JOY!

Happy to talk to few of them.. Due to the noisy environment, they hardly listen to me.

How I wish I can be there..

I truly feel that the bonds among our primary schoolmates are really strong. Chee Leong even rushed home from Singapore for it! If I know it earlier, sure will join them for the last outing in this CNY. :D

I believe time passes by very fast. Let's meet up again in next CNY, friends.

I came across of this word today.

"Spiderman/spiderwoman".

No Doubt, I am a spiderwoman!!

What does it mean?

It describes someone who always stay online, on the WEB!!

Ermm, I am an internet addict. The first thing I open the door, I will walk to my laptop and press the "ON" button!

I can't live without Internet! I spend my whole evening online and not willing to sleep every night. Kinda crazy. Even I will ignore my husband for just concentrate on the laptop.
He wonders and is curious why am I always laughing to the PC.

Perhaps, if he turns on his MSN, we will be connected then.. hahaha...

Also, I reckon I can't live without electronics gadgets like mobile phone, nintendo, camera and ipod..

I will feel something is lacking in my life if one of them is missing.

Fast, Faster & Fastest

For the past one month, I found that I drive faster and faster.

The average speed I drive now it's 90-100km/h and the highest I can reach is 115km/h

I guess my comfort speed is 90km/h nowadays. I should try to control my speed. If not, it would be quite dangerous.

The condition of Singapore Expressway is good and I feel very smooth when driving.

Not much traffic jam and it takes about 20 to 25mins to reach the office about 40km from my home.

Also, I feel that I handle my car very well now! Remember when I started driving after 10 years, I was so scared. I found every car is running so fast! I afraid I will hit the car at the left and right of me. I scared of cutting the lanes and never go to the first lane. The max speed I went was 70 to 80km/h.

Anyway, my parking skill is still super bad. I am trying to force myself to park from the back. and I always think that my main obstacles of driving is parking. No doubts I failed my first parking test in KL.

I hope, one day I can overcome this obstacles and be a patient & expert driver. My plan is to drive home someday in near future :)

Exhausted & Feeling BLUE~~

Tired. superb tired. I think I have been feeling like this since I am back from KL.

I am too old to stay till dawn consecutively every night. and after one week, I still can't recover.

Can't recover mentally and physically. I guess my soul is still in KL and I look like a zombie in the office. I just don't feel like doing anything but force to do it. arghh..

Today it's already the last day of Chinese New Year. Also, the Chinese Valentine's Day. If I were at home, we will at least celebrate it with family. And in here, no special celebration. Just waiting for my dinner and have a good night sleep.

This new year passes by fast and happy. It's precious to see old friends who knows for 19-23 years still gather together. :) I hope every year, we can have such a great new year ahead.

Valentine's Day

Teddy bears, Flowers, Chocolates, Heart-shaped fluffy toys, romantic cards & songs..

Yeah! Valentine's Day is around the corner.

Valentine's Day is a very sweet day to me. I remember when I was in Uni, this day also called as Friendship Day.

To me, this is a day to appreciate the relationship with your partner, family and also your friends.

Though, I have never experience any romantic Vday dinner or receive any flowers, chocolates etc. However, always in my heart, I really feel that I am lucky to have nice and sweet people around me. Romantic Vday dinner & gifts are just the bonus for the special day :)

My blessings to all the lovely couples to have a wonderful V'day ahead.

If you think that he/she is the right one, just be with him/her & precious every moments together. There is one phrase I came across: Tomorrow will be too late.

Had done a part of it but more to go!

I went to NTU library to borrow some books for Organic Chem and Bio chem.

Within last week, I have finished Form 5 Chemistry and one reference book of Organic chemistry. It seems like some knowledge has been digged out from my brain. I realise I need shorter time to understand the theory though I have left them for about 8 years.

By revising the sample questions again, I am able to answer most of them. :) I am very happy as I know what am I doing.

Still have one month plus to prepare for GAMSAT. Though my confidence in this test is not high, especially for Humanities, Social science and written composition. But I will try my best in it. I hope there is no regret in my life at least.

I plan to finish all the readings on Biology and Chemistry in this month. In March, I will start on the art subjects plus last revision on Bio Physics and Chem.

Time is not very sufficient according to the plan. Yes, really have MORE to go..

Things can be changed very fast.

I realised something has changed in a sudden recently.

I am not used to it. I miss it!

Anyway, it could be expected to be this way and I gonna move on.

I have no regret and cherish the moment a lot.

It is one of the sweet memories in my life.

A Wonderful Chinese New Year

This CNY was really wonderful. Since I touched down at KL on the 2nd day of CNY, my plan was never stop.

Here you go:

2nd day: movie "Gah Yao Hey Si" at 8pm, supper with family at Mongkok Restaurant and visited Yoke Woon's house.

3rd day: Form 5 friends visited me at home and we proceed to Chow Yee's house for my first gamble during this CNY. Was so lucky that I won! haha!

Then I rushed to my primary school gathering dinner at Overseas Restaurant, PGRM and continue to Ceylon Pub near to Changkat Bukit Bintang.

4th day: Went for lunch at Midvalley with Bryan, Shi Song, Sook Kuen and Yann. At night, some of my primary school friends came to my home. We looked at the old pics taken during primary, autograph written in year 1991 and Laugh Out Loud for all the funny acts we made last time. It was really the funniest night we spent together. Nevertheless, our gathering ended with a supper at Tsim Tung.

5th day: It's the time to visit my relatives. We played poker cards and I won again!! haha.. then we have the 'lou sang' session with all the family members. I really enjoy the moment as almost everyone was there. :)

on the other side, phonecalls coming in to ask for a movie. So, me and my sis met my primary schoolmates for INKHEART. Well, it is a simple movie, not too bad and most importantly I watched with my friends. It has been a long time i didn't watch movie with them. It's rare that everyone coming back from different countries and sat together for a movie too. :)

again, we went supper at steven corner.

6th day: Gathering with my Form 6 friends. They came to my house and they are so many of them. Around 25 ppl. Yes. we always have such a big group in every gathering. The favourite stuffs that my form 6 friends like to do during CNY is GAMBLE!!! And I found few friends who knows HK mahjong and we played for hours. At night, we visit Gee Kheang's new house at Ampang & then Seah's house. I couldn't take it anymore and I dozed off immediately when i got into the car.

7th day: A call from Bryan and woke me up. We went for lunch at Pandan Indah with Foo Yuen and chat at Tsim Tung until 4pm. I had a nap once I reached home as I know my energy are almost all utilised. After recharging for 2 hours, we prepared for another drinking session at Carlos, Pavilion. This session was fun too. Shi Song brought all his primary school pics collection to share with us. Surprisingly, I saw some of my pics. I was very tiny!!! hahaha!

8th day: I forced myself to wake up as that's the day i need to fly back to Singapore. The feeling was a bit down as I will only able to meet my friends again some in next CNY. However, I feel that I am very lucky to have this bunch of friends in my life. Also never forget my lovely family :)

I miss everything in KL..
